teapigs #matchachallenge

Real Tea in Transit the box said. The contents: everything I needed to complete the teapigs #matchachallenge - Challenge accepted.

This box of goodies kindly provided to me by teapigs, meaning I was all set for 2 weeks of matcha tasting. You can read more about teapigs matcha offerings here. What a perfect way to start 2015, feeling energised..

You've probably heard about matcha, but like me, perhaps you didn't really know what it was. Let me explain a little - 'Matcha is 100% natural, organic green tea leaves which have been carefully ground down to form a fine powder'.

'Matcha is essentially a very concentrated form of green tea. The way it's grown and consumed means that it's packed full of essential vitamins and minerals'.

Taking Matcha daily should help to increase energy levels & concentration. (Yes, please)!

I'm currently on Day Five of my #matchachallenge -I can't wait to see how I'm feeling after 14 days of a daily dose of matcha. I've tried the matcha in various forms now, just as a pure shot, a shot with orange juice, a matcha latte with almond milk and a refreshing combination with coconut water. The taste of matcha is quite unusual - it's actually quite difficult to describe. So I've definitely enjoyed mixing it with other ingredients to take the taste away slightly. However if something is going to give me such health benefits it must be worth it, right?

Did you know?
91% of people said matcha made them more engergised.

Once my 2 week challenge is complete I'll be blogging about the experience as a whole but in the meantime you can keep up with my matchachallenge via my instagram account.

If your interested in matcha check out teapigs current offer of 20% off any matcha products using the code MATCHA15 during January.

  1. I would find the taste hard to get on with - but if you can find a way to mask it, it has to be worth it for all of the health benefits!
