Looking back: 2014

If you haven't noticed it's been a while since I posted, which I must apologise for. First of all December arrived and it got really really busy. As I'm sure it is for everyone, but this year I had to be super organised because I was going to be away for Christmas. I squeezed in as many Christmas celebrations as I possibly could. I actually found myself rushing around rather a lot trying to get everything sorted. Then on the 16th I flew to the Maldives where I was working over Christmas. So once again a large amount of time without any blogposts, which means I didn't get to wish my readers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. There we go I've said it now - better late than never!

But now I'm back, I had an amazing but very busy time. So while I'm trying to stay up and fight the jetlag. I decided it was a perfect time to have a little look back at the last year.

It's been a busy year for me over on the blog. I've seen some figures I never thought I could achieve. I've attended blogger events which I wrote a little bit about that here in my post Thoughts about Blogging. I've also tried to get myself out there a little bit more.

2014 saw more Afternoon Teas than ever before - I definitely summed things up when I wrote my post - I have a confession to make.

I've visited plenty of new coffee shops, found plenty of cupcakes to enjoy and also eaten rather a few brunches.

Some of my favourite posts from the year have been:

2014 saw lots of things happening including:
Meeting Mary Berry at a book signing which was ever so exciting.
Visiting the Tower of London to see the Poppies.
Visiting Mayfield Lavender again.
Christmas came early when I sampled the Christmas Afternoon Tea at the Conrad London St James back in September.

I've already got some new posts lined up for 2015. And of course I'll be working on my list of Places to visit.

Here's to 2015.

  1. You've had a marvellous year! Love the pics of Jersey. So much beauty on such a small island. Looking forward to many cup cake and travel posts form you during 2015!
