Joules

I do love a bit of Joules. The flowers, the stripes.. everything really. Having said that I'm more of a stripes than flowers kind of girl. No, sorry, scrap that I'm attracted to stripes in every shop I walk into! I do love their floral designs but sometimes find they drown me slightly. Maybe I just need to be a little braver.

When I spotted a tweet from @Joulesclothing offering 25% off everything* I decided to take advantage of this offer. Always after a bargain me :-) I decided to go for this Harbour Cotton Top, in Lime Stripe. I've got so many navy and white striped items of clothing I decided to do something a bit different. Plus I do have a little bit of a thing for green.
Joules Womens Cotton Top, Lime Stripe. If you like to be beside the seaside (or simply want a top that sings of coastal cool) this top ticks all the boxes.

Priced at £24.95, it was quite reasonable for Joules. However with my 25% discount this top cost me £18.71. I decided to use the 'Click & Collect' service, as I was in no particular rush. It meant my order was available to collect from my chosen, local Joules shop between 2-3 days later.

I almost had to rethink my purchase, with what we all thought was summer appearing last weekend. Why would I need a top with three quarter length sleeves when it's this hot? But how wrong could I have been? A few days later, and the rain is back, and accompanied by thunder and lightening. As I went to pick up my order, I dashed into the shop wearing flip-flops and carrying my umbrella. If that doesn't sum up a typical 'British Summer' I don't know what does. Perhaps my choice was a sensible one after all. I know it'll be perfect for warmer evenings when I don't need a coat, but it's not quite warm enough to wear a sleeveless top.

When I got home and opened my order I was so excited to find a Tea Pigs sample inside too. It's a 'fab Japanese treat' - a popcorn tea temple. I was so intrigued to try it. Now that's what I call target marketing.. How did they know I love tea?

This popcorn tea is a green tea with toasted rice. This came about when Japanese peasants used to mix toasted rice with green tea to make it go further. I love that. However I can't say I'm a huge fan of it, although I could taste the popcorn sort of flavour, I would say it had a musty sort of taste to it. On the back of the accompanying leaflet I'm offered 10% off teapigs, so perhaps I'll have to treat myself to a different tea thats more to my taste.
What a pleasant little surprise though.

Eeeek, I can't wait to wear my new top.

*Sorry this offer has now finished, but I believe you can still get 15% off and free postage and packaging at this current time.
