A while back we took a trip to Birdhouse on St Johns Hill, it's not the first time I've been but it's definitely worth a blog post.
It features in the The London Coffee Guide 2012, which I have been reading through recently.
The coffee is great and the food equally so.
This place gets busy - we lingered outside a little waiting for a table to become available. Of course you can choose to take away! And it is definitely worth the wait. I do have to keeping explaining to the Boy if there's a queue or a wait it's because the place is good. The decor is wonderful with a grey and yellow theme throughout. Very stylish.
I ate a lovely light breakfast of homemade granola with yoghurt and honey, which was lovely. I did however feel some fruit would really complement this dish. Meanwhile the boy had a hefty steak sandwich, which he throughly enjoyed.
I've said this before but I think with large chains sometimes dominating the high street it's becoming increasingly hard to find a truly decent coffee.
Birdhouse is a (relatively) local favorite of mine.
And one which I will return to for coffee time and time again.
Thanks for reading.
