Hale & Hardy

This morning we went to Hale & Hardy (141 Wandsworth High Street), which can only be described as a little gem in SW18 4JB

A very quaint little cafe - with lots of little ceramics, frames & trinkets for sale. They serve a great coffee, lovely food and delicious looking cakes. Now 10am is too early for cake, even by my standards, so I opted for breakfast.

This place is very reasonable an americano or cappuccino will set you back £2.20. I went for the granola, which came with yoghurt, blueberries and honey, costing £3.40, which was delicious. The boy went for Italian eggs with artisan bread and Serrano ham, priced at £4.85. He described it as the perfect combination, and I was very impressed at the price overall coming in at £13.95 for the both of us.

The coffee is great, and once again there's a water station where you can help your self to a glass of water. I always opt for this as I find coffee does dehydrate me. Just last weekend we had coffee and cake at a central London Coffee shop and it came to exactly the same price.

This places is very light and airy, especially on a lovely sunny day like this. It's very family orientated/ child friendly with stacks of 'Families' magazines, and crayons/ colouring in for the little people. Also you'll find a proper change table in the toilet (as a nanny I notice these things)!

As I said it was far too early for cake, but I'll have to return to sample some of these scrumptious looking options...

You can follow them on twitter @hale_hardy.

*Update* I've heard Hale & Hardy are due to close on Tuesday 7th July 2015 which is their last day of trading I believe. I visited them today for the very last time. Sorry to see you go..
